Photo Haiku – Chrysanthemums

When I first moved to Japan in the summer of 2017, the heat was brutal, especially in the cities. I had exhausted myself visiting shrines and temples in Kyoto, so I decided to stay close to our Shinmachi, Osaka neighborhood.

There was a plethora of these sacred places within a few blocks radius. A gentle gift of nature greeted me at a temple door.
