Ha Long Bay, Vietnam Boat Ride at Sunset Pre-Pandemic

It’s hard to believe how much the world has changed in such a short time. After leaving Japan in October 2019, we travelled for a month in SE Asia. Our first stop was Vietnam. The insanity of the over-tourism was fully evident when we took a tour from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay. Ha Long means descending dragon. We’d see over-tourism in Thailand and Cambodia also, and the pandemic certainly put that Global Capital-funded monstrosity to an end. I’ll be putting together more of the overtourism clips I took.

But here, I’m reflecting back and putting together some images, here is the boat ride back at sunset along Ha Long Bay. Enjoy!

Lovely Ha Long Bay, Vietnam at sunset, 2019.
